Here’s the final installment, part 3, of the Glam Polish Limited Edition Rydell High Collector’s Series (see part 1 and part 2). Continuing the same theme, these are polishes in a range of vibrant colours, inspired by the songs and characters of Grease.
As with the previous polishes in this series, the formula is fantastic. However, they dry semi-matte, so top coat is essential for glossy finish.
You’re The One That I Want is a bright red with scattered holo and microflakies. The flakies are extremely subtle as they’re the same colour as the base, but it gives the polish a little bit of lift. This is 2 coats. It looked quite orange in the bottle, but it’s more of a blue-based red on the nail. This is 3 coats with top coat.
Pink Ladies is a neon pink with scattered holo and tiny blue flakies. This is so intensely bright, my camera completely freaked out and would not capture it accurately in sunlight! I think this is my favourite of the entire collection so far. This is 3 coats with top coat.
You may be wondering how it compared to another well known neon pink Aussie indie polish with blue shimmer, Pretty Serious The Pink One. The Pink One is a cooler toned pink, and it has more of a fine shimmer, whereas Pink Ladies has larger flecks. Definitely not dupes, but you may not need both in your collection.
We Go Together is a neon yellow base with scattered holo and tiny yellow flakies. Again, the flakies are very difficult to distinguish. I used 3 coats here, but I should have used 4 because there’s still a little bit of VNL.
And that, ladies (and gentlemen?), concludes the Glam Polish Limited Edition Rydell High collection!
Pre-orders are open for Part 3 now on the Glam Polish Bigcartel store, and is officially released on March 27th. Remember that they’re limited edition, so they won’t be around for long! Shipping is available to both Australia and the US, and these shades will also be available from most of her international stockists later this month.
