A Pretty Perfect Package – Powder Perfect & Pretty Pots Sampler Pack – Swatches & Review

‘A Pretty Perfect Package’ is a sampler pack put together by two relatively new Aussie indie brands – Powder Perfect Polish and Pretty Pots Polish. This limited edition pack features 2 polishes from each brand (4 in total), and is a great way to try offerings from both brands in one easy order, while learning about the creators at the same time.

Pretty Pots Rockstar Rebel is a pale pink crelly with black, grey, purple, lavender, white and neon pink hexes, and neon pink stars. It’s fun and girly, but requires a bit of fishing to get the stars out and dabbing for even application. It’s also quite sheer, so this is 3 carefully applied coats with top coat.

Pretty Pots Paquita has a blackened maroon base filled with fuschia, pink, red and silver microglitters, inspired by the Paquita ballet. This is my favourite polish from this sampler pack. Application was smooth, requiring only 2 coats for opacity, and it’s sophisticated and vampy. With top coat, the depth is beautiful.

Powder Perfect Pretending I’m a Mermaid is another microglitter polish, this time consisting of blue, teal and silver glitter in a blue jelly base. The glitter coverage in this is pretty dense, so you might even be able to get away with 1 coat if you apply carefully. I used 2 here. It also dries matte, so top coat is essential.

And finally, Powder Perfect Midnight Planning is another one of those Cosmic Forces-esque polishes, with a deep purple jelly base and large round holo glitters that invoke images of space and galaxies. Holy cow, this one has a tonne of glitter in it. No fishing or dabbing was needed at all, so application was really easy, but it did result in a somewhat lumpy mani that would need quite a lot of top coat to smooth out. This is 2 coats with top coat.

The pack containing all 4 polishes costs just $40 including shipping (Australia only), and is available from Powder Perfect. That represents a $14 saving, which is what shipping would cost if you were to purchase the polishes separately from both stores, so that ends up being a pretty good deal. At this stage the Pretty Perfect Package has a limited run of just 20 boxes, so get in quick if you’re afraid of missing out!

Unfortunately shipping nail polish out of Australia is difficult as our postal system is really harsh about this sort of thing :( But I believe Pretty Pots is stocked at Beauty So Fly, which is based in Singapore and do international shipping. Prices should be roughly the same as well.

Just saw your post on how to make pics round and it always amazes me how smart computer programmers are. I’d love for you to look at my blog and make some suggestions to make it better. I’m kind of loving the background dots, so no changing that-but your TeeBee blog was gorgeous. Email me if you’d be willing to give me some pointers and or help! THANKS!

Hey, thanks for your kind words! Blog design is always down to personal taste. If you’re looking for ideas on how to revamp your blog design, I’d recommend looking at other blogs for inspiration, making a list of exactly what you like and don’t like about each design, and go from there. Feel free to send me an email if you need any further help. My blog design rates are quite reasonable ;) Good luck!
